Mary Verspoor is a Dutch-Indonesian designer based in Bali, where she creates sculptural furniture and collectible objects in collaboration with her studio’s team of master craftsmen.
Inspired by natural forms, geological processes, and the inherent character of wood, her work explores the space between functional design and sculpture. Each piece is meticulously handcrafted, embracing the individuality of the material and the traces of the making process.
Working primarily with reclaimed teak and tropical hardwoods, Verspoor combines traditional craftsmanship with a contemporary design language, creating timeless works that celebrate texture, form, and materiality.
Her work is collected internationally by private collectors and has been commissioned for distinguished residential, hospitality, and commercial projects worldwide. Clients include Aman and COMO Hotels and Resorts, while her work is regularly specified by leading interior designers and architects.
