Lake Beratan
Bedugul
The ever changing sunlight and low hanging clouds at Lake Beratan in the north of Bali are spectacular. Just enjoy the view at a roof terrace watching all day. At this height you are living between the clouds inside a lake area.
Lake Beratan is located next to Mount Bratan and Mount Catur. It is the second largest lake in Bali. It is the source of irrigation for rice fields and plantations across the entire Bedugul village. The lake is 3,8 km2 and is up to 22 meters deep.

For a cool retreat from the hot and humid regions of Bali, visit the north side of Lake Beratan. Not many tourists are visiting this part of the lake, which is mainly farm land used for agriculture, but it actually has the most beautiful views on the lake, especially if you climb up a hill.
