MEET THE ARTISTS
Ubud Open Studios throws open the doors of 70+ private studios, where painters, illustrators, architects, interior designers, photographers, ceramicists, leatherworkers, weavers, costume makers, carvers, and more share their techniques, processes, and philosophies.
The event doesn’t follow a strict schedule, instead, as a participant you are invited to make your own itinerary, choosing from the 70+ studios available. Between the opening times of 10 am to 4 pm, you can visit studios at your own pace and in whatever order you wish.
This format allows you to handpick the creatives you’re truly interested in: design enthusiasts can visit top architects; craft lovers can shortlist stone carvers and leatherworkers; artists can find painters and illustrators. Alternatively, those curious about all creative fields, can map out studios in a given area and see as many as they can in a single day.
The beautiful work of Christyne Forti, who is one of the 20 new artists and studios joining Ubud Open Studios this year. Her bark and leaf creations are stunning.

Lets talk about it more.
When I paint nudes, it’s not the same as being exhibitionist.
When I said ‘Let us wear what we want to wear’ it’s not the same as being misbehavior running around naked disrespecting other people. When I said I against patriarchy, it’s not the same as men hating. It means I against the system and the side effect in our modern society. Not only it’s effecting men’s behavior, but it’s also effecting women’s behavior to the extreme. Some chose to hate men and some want to become them, some chose to thirst-trapping, some chose to belittling another women with different life choices, some chose to be less than her true self. All of them for the sake of gaining power and to be ‘accepted’ in this “men’s” world (read: patriarchy).
I’ve tried some of many ways. I realized it won’t work that way. I am still learning to do the right way.
It is crucial and urgent for women to support each other, and it’s necessary to disagree, to be more critical, and to be more open.
Forget about political correctness, at the end of the day it’s an open discussion.
